DHANGADHI: SEPT. 12 – The CPN (Unified Socialist) is preparing to form a Far-Western State Parliamentary Party. The CPN (S), which has become the largest party in the state assembly, is preparing to form a parliamentary party as soon as it gets the recognition of the party.

CPN (S) central member Purna Joshi, who is also the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, will hold a meeting on Monday to discuss issues including the formation of a parliamentary party.

He said that the meeting was not called due to the Atwari festival of the Tharu community. “After splitting from one party to another, we have not been able to sit down,” he said. The party leader may not be elected tomorrow, but we will discuss the formation of a parliamentary party. ‘

Stating that in the current situation, the leader who can bring the party together should be made the leader of the parliamentary party, said Minister Joshi.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Planning Dirgha Sodari, former Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Maya Bhatta and former chief whip of the parliamentary party Tara Lama Tamang are aspiring for the post of parliamentary party leader.

Among the aspirants for the party leadership are Minister Joshi and former minister Bhatta, who are also central members of the party. Similarly, Minister Sodari was earlier the chairman of CPN-UML Kailali and Tamang was the chairman of Kanchanpur.

According to party sources, there is a strong possibility of competition between Minister Sodari and MP Tamang for the post of parliamentary party leader.

The issue of who will be the leader of the CPN (S) parliamentary party, which has become the largest party in the Far-Western State Assembly with 14 MPs, is being looked at with interest.

UML has shrunk to the fourth party after 14 UML MPs joined the CPN (S).

The then Madhav Nepal group MPs Dirgha Sodari, Purna Joshi, Maya Bhatta, Tara Lama Tamang, Prakash Rawal, Lal Bahadur Khadka, Kulbir Chaudhary, Amar Bahadur Saud, Bal Bahadur Sodari, Durga Kami, Manakumari Saud, Chunukumari Chaudhary, Sushil Budhathoki and Maya Tamang Bohara left UML and chosen socialists.
