The government will provide 10,000 cash grants to 500,000 poor families

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 10 – The government will provide a monthly cash grant of Rs 10,000 to poor and needy families who have lost their jobs and income due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The budget ordinance replacement bill introduced by Finance Minister Janardan Sharma in the parliament amid the slogans of the main opposition party CPN-UML has made such provision.

He also said that certain criteria will be set for the distribution of the grant amount.
