Budget ordinance presented in Parliament amidst slogans

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 10 – A financial ordinance has been tabled in the House of Representatives amid protests by the opposition party CPN-UML.

On behalf of the government, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma presented the ordinance in Parliament.

Of the three ordinances under the Budget Ordinance, the Appropriation Ordinance and the National Debt Raising Ordinance were also tabled in Parliament on Friday.

CPN-UML, on the other hand, chanted slogans against Speaker Agni Sapkota saying that his working style was not in line with the law. The meeting has been adjourned for 15 minutes.
