Ordinance on political parties introduced in the National Assembly amid UML protests

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 10 – An ordinance on political parties has been introduced in the National Assembly. Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has introduced the Political Parties (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2078 BS.

Home Minister Khand passed the ordinance in a meeting held on Friday afternoon. UML National Assembly members had protested while presenting the ordinance.

The House has passed a condolence resolution on the demise of Constituent Assembly members J. B. Tuhure and Mahendra Sherchan. At the same time, today’s meeting has been postponed. The next meeting will be held on September 13.
