Lionel Messi breaks Pele’s record

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 10 – Argentina captain Lionel Messi has broken the record set by football legend Pele. Messi broke Pele’s record for most goals scored in South America.

Messi has become the highest-scoring player in South America after scoring a hat-trick in a World Cup qualifier against Bolivia.

Pele has scored 77 goals in 92 games. Messi’s tally has reached 79. Messi has scored 79 goals in 153 games.
