Meeting of the ruling coalition to form an opinion on MCC

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 10 – A meeting of the ruling coalition is being held. The meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar at 9 am.

The meeting is being held at a time when different views on MCC are being made public by the parties in the ruling coalition. It is understood that the meeting will discuss how to move forward by forming a consensus. A similar meeting will also discuss government expansion.

Earlier, the meeting of the coalition held in Baluwatar on Thursday discussed issues related to the expansion of the Council of Ministers, the MCC agreement and the operation of the parliament. According to Rastriya Janamorcha vice-chairperson Durga Poudel, coalition leader Upendra Yadav was not present at the meeting. Leaders said he did not attend the meeting as he had to attend another event.

MCC Vice President Fatema Sumar is in Kathmandu to meet leaders of various parties and former prime ministers. She met CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav yesterday and understood their views on MCC.
