Candidates for Bishwa Prakash after reaching BP Museum [Photos]
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 9 – On the occasion of the 108th BP Jayanti, Nepali Congress Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma has announced his candidature for the post of General Secretary.
Sharma, who has spent eight years of his political life in jail, held a program at the Sundarijal Prison (now BP Museum) and announced his candidature for the post of General Secretary at the upcoming 14th General Convention.
At that time, BP had planted a rudraksha tree on the camphor tree planted by BP and Sharma had announced his candidature. Spokesperson Sharma had laid a wreath at the statue of BP, Ganeshman Singh, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and other leaders present there.
The then government had detained BP, Ganeshman, Krishna Prasad, Ram Narayan Mishra, Dewan Singh Rai and other Congress leaders in the Sundarijal Jail.
Spokesperson Sharma is called Sana BP (Little BP) by his supporters within Congress.
