Far-Western ministers Shah and Gahat Raj resigned
DHANGADHI: SEPT. 7 – Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of the Far Western State Prakash Bahadur Shah and Minister of State Archana Gahatraj have resigned.
The two ministers, who remained in the UML after the party split, submitted their resignation letters to Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta today. After submitting a resignation letter, Minister Shah, who is also the leader of the UML parliamentary party, told a press conference at the Chief Minister’s Office that he resigned as he was not in favour of party split. He said that he was in UML to strengthen democracy.
Earlier, Minister Shah and Gahatraj Madhav were in the Nepal group. At that time, the UML had joined the government led by Minister Shah against the decision of the Center.
