Two UML ministers from the Far West are resigning
DHANGADHI: SEPT. 7 – Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prakash Bahadur Shah and Minister of State Archana Gahatraj are preparing to resign from the CPN-UML. After the party split, the two UML ministers are preparing to resign today.
Minister Shah and Minister of State Gahatraj, who are also leaders of the UML parliamentary party, were earlier in the Madhav Nepal group.
Minister of State Gahatraj said that final preparations are being made to resign. According to sources, preparations have been made to submit the resignation to the Chief Minister by 5 pm today.
After the CPN (S), the largest party in the state with 14 MPs, prepared to run the government, the two ministers Shah and Gahatraj are about to resign.
Apart from the Speaker, the UML, which has 24 MPs, has become limited to the fourth party with 10 MPs in the Far Western State Assembly.
