Nepal records 1,897 new COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 6 – Another 1,897 people were confirmed to be infected with coronavirus in Nepal on Monday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,488 persons tested positive for coronavirus through the RT-PCR method while 409 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 418 persons in Kathmandu, 87 in Lalitpur, and 101 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for coronavirus, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 606 in the past 24 hours.

At the same time, the number of coronavirus infections in Nepal has reached 856,218.

Another 20 people have succumbed to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. So far, 10,858 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus in Nepal.

Similarly, 7,28,928 infected people have been cured in Nepal so far after the release of 1,743 infected.

At present, 30,973 infected people are in isolation and 260 infected in quarantine in Nepal.

Similarly, 39,69,721 PCRs and 492,114 antigens have been tested so far, according to the ministry.
