Home Minister’s effigy cremated by ANNISU near CPN (S) [Photos]

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 6 – ANNISU, a student organization close to the CPN (Unified Socialist), has burnt the idol of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.

The UNHCR on Monday set fire to the statue of the home minister in protest after the home ministry issued a statement warning it would take action against anyone who tarnished the image of the prime minister.

ANNISU protested in front of the Nepal Commerce Campus at Min Bhawan against the statement issued by the Home Ministry.

During the demonstration, protesters chanted slogans against the MCC.
