Poudel to nominate Congress General Secretary
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 6 – Nepali Congress youth leader Pradip Poudel has decided to run for the post of General Secretary. Poudel is preparing to run for the post of General Secretary at the 14th General Convention to be held on November 25 to 29.
Poudel informed that he is preparing to announce his candidature in a few days. Poudel, who was elected at the 5th position with 179 votes out of 25 openly elected in the 13th General Convention, has planned to become the General Secretary in the 14th General Convention.
He is preparing to become the general secretary candidate from the Krishna Prasad Sitaula group, which is the third faction within Congress.
Sitaula is also preparing to run for the post of president in the 14th general convention. Sitaula has proposed Pradip to be the general secretary candidate.
Earlier, leader Gagan Thapa had also announced his candidature for the post of general secretary while spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma was also preparing to run for the post.
