Tourism Board Siege Demanding Tourism Sector Reforms [Photos]

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 6 – The Nepal Independent Tourism Workers’ Union has cordoned off the office of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) at Bhrikutimandap with various demands including improving the tourism sector.

To allow tourists who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 and have PCR negative to go directly on foot without being quarantined, TIMS and other permits should be implemented through a one-door system The union has demanded that there should be a system.

The union said that they were compelled to hold a sit-in program even after submitting a memorandum with all these demands to the board.

The union plans to agitate harder if the board does not heed its demands even after the sit-in.
