There is still a possibility of heavy rain in Kathmandu Valley
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 6 – Meteorologists have said that there is still a possibility of rain in Kathmandu Valley. Despite some improvement in the weather on Monday afternoon, there is a possibility of heavy rain again in the evening, said Meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal.
He said the sudden onset of heavy rains when water vapour from the Bay of Bengal mixed with local air was still a possibility.
He said that there is a possibility of rain in Bagmati State including Kathmandu Valley on Monday and in Lumbini Gandaki State on Tuesday. Meteorologist Aryal said that the weather is likely to improve from Wednesday.
Floods in Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini States have affected people’s lives after heavy rains on Sunday night.
Floods in Bagmati, Manohara, Dhobikhola, Hanumantel and other rivers flowing through Kathmandu Valley have also inundated riverside settlements and businesses.
