NMB Bank named Green Deal of the Year 2021
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 6 – NMB Bank has been named Green Deal of the Year 2021 by Singapore’s Asian Banking and Finance magazine.
Based on the agreement reached with the International Finance Corporation in the field of green credit flow in Nepal, the bank has been honoured by ASIAN as a leading bank in the field of sustainable banking in Nepal.
The bank disburses loans to green schemes that meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the IFC. The bank has been honoured under the Green Deal Award for its continued commitment to sustainable banking and climate-friendly projects and entrepreneurial activities, according to a statement issued by the bank.
NMB is currently an active member of the Committee on Carbon Accounting Financial and a Commercial Bank that has been a member of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values since 2013.
