KAMPALA: SEPT. 6 – The Malian national football team on Sunday arrived here ahead of their game with hosts Uganda in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

On arrival, Mohamed Magassouba, head coach of the Malian team said Uganda would face a hard time during the game scheduled on Monday.

“We are here for serious business and Uganda should not think they have the advantage because they are playing at home,” said Magassouba.

“We are determined to continue with our good start and get another three points. Uganda should not expect an easy match,” added the Mali coach.

Milutin Sredojevic, head coach of Uganda’s national team, Cranes, said his team is well prepared.

“After drawing goalless away to Kenya last weekend, we have rectified the mistakes and we are now ready to give a good account,” said Sredojevic.

Mali tops Group E after stopping Rwanda 1-0 last week. Uganda has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup despite several attempts.
