KATHMANDU: SEPT. 5 – The second friendly match between Nepal and India is being played today. The match will be played at 5:30 pm at Dasharath Stadium.
The first match between the two teams, which are preparing for the SAFF Championship, ended in a 1-1 draw on Thursday. In the first half on Thursday, Anjan Bista’s goal took the lead and Nepal had to settle for a draw.
If Kiran plays Sunday’s game, he will become the most played player for Nepal. Playing on Thursday, he equalled former captain Biraj Maharjan’s record of 73 games.
Even today, only 5,100 spectators will be able to reach the stadium and watch football. Spectators vaccinated with both doses and have a coronavirus test negative are only allowed to watch game.
Thursday was the first match between Nepal and India after the 2015 World Cup qualifiers at Dasharath Stadium.
