Dentistry is the oldest profession in the world

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 5 – People all over the world have adopted many professions according to their ability and capacity. However, not everyone knows what the world’s oldest profession is.

The world’s oldest profession is dentistry. The history of dentistry goes back to the first tooth of the human race. One study found evidence that human teeth were drilled into the skull which is 7,000 to 9,000 years old.

It is estimated that the work was done with the help of pre-historic drills. According to the BBC, a study at the 14,000-year-old skull by the University of Bologna in Italy found that a tooth had been drilled with a wooden tool. That is why dentistry is considered to be the oldest profession.
