Federal Civil Service Act to be brought soon: PM Deuba
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 5 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the civil administration will be made more systematic and efficient by bringing the Federal Civil Service Act as soon as possible. Releasing the Employees’ Magazine published on the occasion of the Establishment Day of the Nepal Civil Servants Union, 2078 BS, on Saturday, Deuba said that the government was sensitive to the rights and interests of the civil servants.
Stating that the bureaucracy as the permanent government of the country should serve the citizens with honesty and impartiality, Prime Minister Deuba also called on all civil servants for the same. He expressed confidence that the Civil Servants Union would provide its organizational strength and support in providing services to the people in a lawful manner within the rights given by the law.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba honoured the outgoing Secretary Gopinath Mainali with a certificate, said Badri Tiwari, Private Secretary to the Prime Minister. On the occasion, senior Congress leaders Ram Chandra Poudel and Krishna Prasad Sitaula said that the success of the government was linked with the effective and efficient service rendered by the civil servants to the people and urged all the employees to work sincerely towards it.
