Palesha near to bronze medal

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 3 – Nepal’s Palesha Goverdhan has reached the final of the Tokyo Paralympic Taekwondo Repechage.

Palesha came close to winning the bronze medal by defeating Maria Misev of Serbia in the semifinals of the repechage. She will play with Yuji Li of China for bronze.

Palesha lost to Beth Munro of Great Britain in the first match of the women’s K-44 58 kg weight category.

Palesha reached the semifinals by defeating the American player in the quarterfinals. In the semi-final, she defeated Misev of Serbia.
