33 customer lines were cut in two days, 6.7 million was recovered at Biratnagar
BIRATNAGAR: SEPT. 3 – Nepal Electricity Authority, Biratnagar, has expedited the collection of arrears.
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Biratnagar Distribution Center, has said that it has intensified the work of collecting electricity from the consumers who have been in arrears for a long time.
Nepal Electricity Authority, Biratnagar Distribution Center, conducted a two-day campaign on Wednesday and Thursday to collect the arrears. Lines of 33 customers have been cut in two days on Wednesday and Thursday.
15.3 million 1 thousand 790 should be recovered from those customers by cutting their line Rs 67 lakh 60 thousand 370 has been recovered, said Bharat KC, Administration Officer of Electricity Authority, Biratnagar
According to the legal provision, NEA can cut the customer’s line at any time if the consumer does not pay the tariff for 60 days.
