Despite early lead against India, Nepal played draw

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 2 – In Nepal-India friendly football tournament match, Nepal has drawn 1-1 with India.

Though Nepal took the lead in the match played at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, India equalized and stopped the match.

Anjan Bista scored in the 36th minute of the match to give Nepal the lead.

Similarly, India’s Anirudh Thapa equalized in the 59th minute. Goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong took advantage of the opportunity to save Sunil Chhetri’s hard shot.

The next match against India will be played at Dasharath Stadium on Sunday.
