Writ filed by UML demanding dismissal of CPN-S
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 1 – CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against Agni Prasad Sapkota, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Election Commission, 14 lawmakers from the then UML and Purna Prasad Gharti, Speaker of Lumbini.
According to the Supreme Court, Chairman Oli on Wednesday filed a writ petition against the Election Commission for not taking action against 14 lawmakers despite the UML’s recommendation to take action against Speaker Sapkota.
Similarly, Oli has filed a writ petition against Lumbini Speaker Purna Prasad Gharti for not taking action against MPs Ajay Shahi and Vimala Wali.
According to the Supreme Court, he has filed a writ petition against 14 lawmakers of the CPN-Unified Socialist Party.
In the writ filed by Sumitra Pandey on behalf of Chairman Oli, it has been demanded to cancel the registration of the CPN-U, which had registered 14 MPs and nine central members who were ‘expelled’ from the CPN-UML.
