Bhim Acharya in the minority
KATHMANDU: SEPT. 1 – Newly appointed Chief Minister of State 1 Bhim Acharya is in the minority. Chief Minister Acharya is in the minority with 10 MPs electing the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) led by Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Acharya, who left the Nepal Group and became the Chief Minister from KP Sharma Oli’s quota on August 26, is in danger of losing his post as soon as he falls in the minority.

UML has 51 MPs in the 92-member state assembly. After 10 people elect Unified Socialists, UML will have 41 MPs. In this case, Chief Minister Acharya needs 47 MPs for a vote of confidence.
The state has 21 MPs from the Nepali Congress, 15 from the Maoist Center, three from the People’s Socialist Party and one each from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and the United Democratic National Forum.
