10 MPs of State 1 electing CPN-S
BIRATNAGAR: SEPT. 1 – CPN-Unified Socialist is handing over the official signature of party division in the state today. The lawmakers of the CPN-S, which was formed after splitting from the UML, are going to submit their signatures today as per the party selection system.
The CPN (Maoist) has stated that it has decided to submit the signatures for the selection of the party at the office of the State Election Commission. CPN-S leader and state MP Rajendra Rai said that the party was preparing to hand over the signatures at the Election Commission’s Biratnagar-based office. According to Rai, it has been decided to submit the signatures along with 10 MPs as per the party selection arrangements at 12 noon today.
Rajendra Rai of Bhojpur, Sunita Kumari Chaudhary of Udayapur, Rajan Rai of Khotang, Upendra Kumar Ghimire of Morang, Krishna Kumari Rai, Sabitri Kumari Regmi, Ganesh Kambang of Panchthar and Khinu Langwa Limbu of Ilam are among the MPs who have been asked to sign.
Rai told Makalu Khabar that he has not been able to decide on the addition of 10 other MPs so far. So far, 10 people have decided to go to the Election Commission office with their signatures. Rai said that other lawmakers could also join his party in the meantime as he would be able to go to the election office and choose a party by September 8.
At the hotel when pressure started
There is a lot of injustice about the whereabouts of the state parliamentarians of the CPN-U. According to a source, the ruling CPN-UML leaders rarely pick up the phone when they call.
The lawmakers, including SK leader Rajendra Rai, who was sitting with 10 lawmakers, were at the Big Hotel in Biratnagar for two days from August 29. After that, when the lawmakers found out that they were sitting there, they started moving to other places to save the lawmakers. Some were kept in the house of a trusted leader, some in the house of MPs and some were moved from the Big Hotel to another hotel.
CPN-S leader and MP Rajendra Rai said that he started scattering after he started putting pressure and influence on his MPs. “Right now, some MPs are staying in the zoo, some are in hotels,” said MP Rai.
MPs are still kept in hotels. No one has been told where or how. When he tried to get information from Khotang MP Rajan by telephone, he said that he could not say anything now. We are all in the same place now, he said, adding that our privacy cannot be violated. No one has been informed about the whereabouts of the MPs after they left Biratnagar except certain MPs and leaders. Secretly kept in the hotel.
