YCL’s 231-member central committee announced, office bearers to be selected later
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 31 – A new central committee of YCL Nepal, a youth wing of the CPN-Maoist, has been announced. According to YCL Nepal, a 231-member central committee was selected by the national meeting held on Tuesday. 23 members of the committee will be nominated later.
According to YCL in-charge Ram Prasad Sapkota ‘Deepshikha’, a 231-member central committee has been formed to be nominated after 10 per cent as per the constitution. He also informed that the meeting of the Central Committee will select the office bearers.
Only the central member has been selected as the office bearers could not be selected due to a dispute.
Subodh Serpali and Suman Devkota had claimed for the post of chairperson at the national meeting of YCL which started last Saturday. The meeting was extended for a day as it was not possible for the leaders including party chairman Prachanda and YCL officials to reach a consensus.
