An MP who chooses a unified socialist in the Far West is being identified today
DHANGADHI: AUGUST 31 – In the Far West Region, the Madhav Nepal-led CPN (Unified Socialist) party electing state assembly members are preparing to identify today.
Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Purna Joshi, who is also a central member of the Unified Socialist Party, said that the identity of the new MP would be announced today. The lawmakers are holding discussions at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law for identification.
Leaders have said that 14 state parliamentarians are likely to be identified in the Unified Socialist Party. UML has 25 MPs in the Far Western State Assembly, including the Speaker. In the past, there were 17 of them in the Nepal group and seven in the Oli group.
There is a possibility of arithmetic change after the new party is registered. The Election Commission has given time till September 7 to select the new party. The deadline for CPN-UML state assembly members, people’s representatives of the municipality and members of the district coordination committee to join the party was set for September 7.
The commission has stated that the members of the state assembly who want to change their party should be identified in the election office of the concerned state and the district level election office for the local level people’s representatives.
