Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba also held discussions with top leaders on Saturday regarding the formation of the government. But no agreement was reached. For the past few days, the top leaders of the parties in the alliance have been engaging in discussions.

The alliance includes the Nepali Congress, the CPN-Maoist Center, the CPN-Unified Socialist Party, the JSP and the Rastriya Janamorcha. Prime Minister Deuba has been criticized for not being able to expand the cabinet for a long time.
