Formation of Kaski Committee of Unified Socialists, Acharya Chairman
POKHARA: AUGUST 31 – The CPN (UML) has formed a district committee in Kaski. The parallel committee formed when Madhav Nepal formed the movement with different views has been recognized as the new party committee. A parallel committee was formed in Kaski on April 1 2021.
Even after the separation of the party, the same committee is being integrated into the party. A 185-member committee has been formed in Kaski under the chairmanship of Dhanraj Acharya. Acharya is a former self-view President of PN Campus and has been involved in student politics for a long time. Home Nepali has been appointed as the secretary and Purna Lama as the joint secretary.
Similarly, Mukti Poudel has led the Pokhara Metropolitan Committee. Sushil Basnet is the secretary. A 141-member committee has been formed in the Metropolitan.
Kaski is a weak area for the Nepal Group. However, there has been some push as there are old and counted leaders in the party. Former MPs Tul Bahadur Gurung, Chudamani Jangali, Srinath Baral and Dilu Panta have become members of the Central Committee from Kaski.
