So far, 828 Nepalis have returned home from Afghanistan
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 31 – So far, 828 Nepali nationals have returned home from Afghanistan. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 45 people returned from a regular Turkish Air flight on Saturday and five from a Fly Dubai flight on Sunday evening.
According to the ministry, necessary initiatives are being taken to rescue and repatriate more Nepali nationals who are on the verge of rescue in Kabul. Necessary arrangements have been made for the returning Nepali nationals by conducting necessary tests as per the health standards from the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center.
The Ministry has requested the families in Afghanistan and Nepal who are waiting for rescue and in Nepal or themselves to contact the online portal on the website of the Department of Consular Services and the available mobile numbers.
