Darchula floods: Two rescued by helicopter

DARCHULA: AUGUST 30 – Two people injured in a landslide in Darchula have been rescued by a helicopter.

Janak Karki and Ujeli Dadal of Duhun Village Municipality-5 of the district are being rescued by a Nepal Army helicopter and brought to Dhangadhi for treatment.

Two people from the Duhun and Mahakali Municipalities of the district have been killed and two others have gone missing in the floods and landslides on Sunday night. The floods have washed away houses, bridges and even small hydropower plants.
