KATHMANDU: AUGUST 30 – Senior CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Jhala Nath Khanal, who has been undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Delhi for the past one and a half months, is returning home on Monday.

Leader Khanal will land at Tribhuvan International Airport at 4 pm, according to his secretariat.

Khanal, who went to Delhi on May 16 after suffering from kidney problems, has undergone a kidney transplant there. He was treated at the Norvic Hospital in Thapathali due to health problems and had to be shifted to Delhi.

Khanal, who had called for unity during his visit to Delhi, has become a senior leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist) on his return. Earlier, the government had decided to bear the entire cost of Khanal’s treatment.
