A landslide hit Nagdhunga, vehicles entering Kathmandu were stopped

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 30 – The Nagdhunga road, the main entry point to Kathmandu, has been blocked since this morning. The road has been blocked since 5:30 am when a landslide fell at Chisapani, about 500 meters below Nagdhunga.

According to Nagdhunga Police, the landslide has completely blocked the road on both sides. There is a line of vehicles after the road is blocked. An Excavator has been mobilized to remove the landslide. Police said that it would take at least two hours for the road to be smooth.

Earlier, the road that was blocked from Sunday morning to one o’clock in the afternoon came into operation after the landslide was cleared. The landslide occurred again this morning.
