KATHMANDU: AUGUST 29 – Star striker Lionel Messi is set to make his debut from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Sunday.

Messi’s name has also been included in the 22-member squad announced by PSG for the game against Reims. The game will start at 12:30 pm Nepali time at Reims ground.

The Spanish newspaper Marca reported that although Messi will make his debut against Reims in the French domestic league on Sunday, it is uncertain whether he will be in the starting XI or enter the field as a substitute.

After 15 days of training with coach Mauricio Pochettino, Messi is ready for his debut.

Messi has not been seen in the field after the Copa America final. He joined PSG this season after his contract was not renewed in Barcelona. This is the first time he has changed clubs after spending nearly two decades at Spanish club Barcelona.
