Demonstration demanding road maintenance

JANAKPUR: AUGUST 29 – Local youths have protested in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City under the road section connecting Janakpur-Yadukuha saying that there is a problem in traffic due to non-maintenance of dilapidated roads for years.

In Janakpur-1, Pulchowk, local youths have blocked the road by burning tires since Sunday morning. A group of local youths have blocked the road by burning tires and throwing bamboo.

The local Lachho Mandal said that they were forced to agitate as they were not interested in repairing the big potholes in the road.

Kisan Sah, a local youth, said that the continuous rains had caused waterlogging in the ditch on the main road and the local government had not taken any interest in it.
