Deuba, Dahal, Nepal discuss cabinet expansion
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 29 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is preparing to expand the cabinet, has held discussions with top leaders of the ruling coalition. On Sunday morning, Prime Minister Deuba held discussions with CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN (S) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
The leaders had a two-hour discussion. According to a source, discussions were held on running the government and expanding the cabinet. Deuba also had a discussion with UCPN (M) Chairman Dahal on Saturday. But, which party will take how many ministries among the ruling parties on the issue of cabinet expansion? No agreement has been reached.
A leader said that the issue of cabinet expansion would be resolved after a meeting of the ruling coalition with top leaders of the JSP on Monday.
