34 Nepalis await rescue in Kabul

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 29 – In the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, 34 Nepali citizens have been waiting for rescue. Eight of the 42 people detained at the same location near Kabul airport have been rescued.
According to the foreign ministry, 34 people awaiting a rescue flight were evacuated in a safe place on Saturday. The ministry has also stated that coordination is being made with the concerned agencies to repatriate them. He also said the government was in regular contact with everyone in Kabul.
The ministry has also requested those in Afghanistan to register their names with the online portal on the Consular Services website and the department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry’s Situation Room and the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi.
