The 24 missing motorcycles were found and handed over to the concerned rich
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 28 – The traffic police have found 24 missing motorcycles from Kathmandu Valley and handed them over to the concerned rich people. A plainclothes police team from the Metropolitan Traffic Police found 20 motorcycles and four scooters missing from various places in the Kathmandu Valley and handed them over to the rich on Friday.
Chief of the Division and Senior Superintendent of Police Janak Bhattarai said that vehicles get lost while parking in a secluded place. Most of the lost vehicles are used in the districts around the valley, according to the department.
The motorcycles have gone missing from Nagarjuna, Putalisadak, Thamel, Balaju, Kapan, Sanepa, Maharajgunj, Ekantakuna, Radhe Radhe, Samakhusi, Tokha and Patan Hospitals.
According to the department, most of the lost or stolen motorcycles are Pulsar motorcycles. According to Bhattarai, the stolen motorcycles were taken to rural areas to change their number plates and forms and sell them by making fake documents.
