The possibility of heavy rains in these areas, urged to remain vigilant

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 28 – Currently, there is moderate rain with thunder in State 1, 2, Bagmati, Karnali and Far Western State. According to the Weather Forecast Division, it is raining in Nepal due to the influence of monsoon winds.

In the afternoon, light to moderate rain is expected in most parts of the country. There is a possibility of thunder and light rain in a few places in State 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Far Western States.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many places with normal to full cloud cover throughout the night. There is a possibility of heavy rain in State 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and a few places in the Far Western State.

Vigilance has been requested in the rain-hit areas as there is a risk of soil erosion, landslides, flooding and rising water levels in rivers and streams.
