KATHMANDU: AUGUST 27 – Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana has decided to withdraw from the hearing of the case of the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council.
He said that he had decided to leave the bench after the question was raised that Chief Justice Rana, who had been made the opposition in the case pending in the Constitutional Court against the earlier ordinance, would not be allowed to participate in the hearing.
Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi / Shambhu Thapa and Advocate Omprakash Aryal said that the Chief Justice himself should not be involved in the hearing of the case.
