KATHMANDU: AUGUST 27 – The government has convened a meeting of stakeholders to discuss the situation of floods, landslides and inundation seen in many parts of the country.
Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has called on the Disaster Management Authority, Disaster Management Division and all the four security agencies to discuss the disaster and post-disaster relief and rescue operations.
According to Narendra KC, Private Secretary to the Home Minister, the meeting was convened to discuss the heavy loss of life and property due to the rains and the need to focus on relief and rescue work.
The meeting will prepare for relief and rescue work by assessing the damage caused by floods and landslides across the country.
