Bhattarai, a tourism entrepreneur from Pokhara, joins the Nepali Congress
POKHARA: AUGUST 27 – Ganesh Bahadur Bhattarai, an old tourism entrepreneur from Pokhara, has joined the Nepali Congress. He is also the former deputy mayor of Pokhara. Bhattarai, who has been in Rastriya Prajatantra Party politics for a long time, has been independent lately.
Along with him, tourism entrepreneur and chairman of Pokhara Tourism Council Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai has also entered. Also, established persons of Pokhara are Dharmendra Kumar Bataju, Ashokumar Bhandari, Jeevan Bhattarai, E. Vikas Thapa, E. Bisesh Bhattarai, Jayaram Timilsina, Sunil Bahadur Bhattarai, Amit Thapa, Saroj Bhattarai and Ashish Bhattarai have joined the Nepali Congress at the same time.
Bhattarai said that he is in the Congress for democracy. ‘Congress is a party fighting for democracy. All the youth believe in democracy, “he said.” I believe that the party can develop the country. He said that he will continue to contribute to the tourism and sports sector of Pokhara through the politics of the Congress.
Some have also interpreted him as the mayoral candidate of Pokhara Metropolitan City. But now Bhattarai claims that the party has not entered into any agreement.
