Helambu-Melamchi flood victims to be vaccinated from today

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 26 – Twenty thousand people over the age of 18 affected by the Helambu-Melamchi floods are being vaccinated against coronavirus. Senior Public Health Officer Durgadatta Chapagain informed that the vaccines have been sent to the concerned centers so that they can be vaccinated from today.

According to Chapagain, 8,000 vaccines have been sent to the flood-affected Thangpal village in Sindhupalchowk, 7,000 for Melamchi municipality and 5,000 for Helambu.

Two doses of AstraZeneca needles are being injected into the flood victims. The municipality has been requested to contact if the vaccine is not enough.
