AFC Women’s Asian Cup National Team Announced
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 24 – Gary Phillips, head coach of the women’s national football team, has announced the national team for the AFC Cup qualifiers.
Coach Phillips has announced the Nepali team for the match against the Philippines and Hong Kong in Uzbekistan.
The 23-member squad, which was unveiled on Tuesday, includes Bimala BK, Preeti Rai, Sabita Rana, Rashmi Ghising, Rajani Thokar, Nisha Thokar and Srijana Singh.
Anjana Rana Magar, Anjila Tumbapo Subba and Usha Nath are the goalkeepers while Amrita Jaisi, Bimala BK, Gita Rai, Hira Kumari Bhujel, Nisha Thokar, Puja Rana, Punam Jargha Magar and Srijana Singh are the defenders.
Similarly, Anita Basnet, Deepa Rai, Manjali Kumari Yonjan, Preeti Rai, Rajani Thokar, Renuka Nagarkoti and Sabita Rana are the midfielders while Anita KC, Bimala Chaudhary, Indira Rai, Rashmi Ghiring and Saru Limbu are the strikers.
