City and Liverpool win in EPL
KATHMANDU: AUGUST 22 – Liverpool and defending champions Manchester City have won the English Premier League on Saturday night.
Liverpool beat Burnley 2-0 to give City an impressive 5-0 win over Norwich City. Jack Grealish, Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrezall scored in City’s win. Norwich’s Tim Krul gave the gift of a suicide goal.
Manchester City, who lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the season, went on to win the second leg wide.
Another contender, Liverpool, added three important points to Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane’s goal. Two wins in two games have given Liverpool six points.
In other Premier League games, Aston Villa beat Newcastle 2-0 and Brighton beat Watford 2-0. Crystal Palace and Brentford are goalless and Leeds and Everton are tied 2-2.
