KATHMANDU: AUGUST 21 – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has continued its high performance in the French Ligue 1 without a star player. Without Lionel Messi and another star Neymar, who joined the club last week, PSG came out on top with an impressive 4-2 win over Brest.

Ander Herrera scored the first goal for PSG in the 23rd minute through a volley, while Kylian Mbappe scored the second goal for the team in the 36th minute. Franck Honorat scored in the 42nd minute, trying to get Brest back in the game. PSG took a 2-1 lead in the first half and became more aggressive in the second half.

Idrissa Gueye made it 3-1 in the 73rd minute when Steve Mounie tried to reduce the lead again. But substitute Angel Di Maria scored the fourth goal for the team in the 90th minute to give PSG their third consecutive win of the season.

With the win, PSG remains at the top of the league table with nine points from three games. Angers in second place has 6 points from 2 games while Clermont has 6 points from the same game. This is Brest’s second defeat in three games.
