ITAHARI: AUGUST 20 – The Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City has made an arrangement to pay taxes from home keeping in mind the problems of the citizens. The software system has been started so that you can pay property tax, business tax and house tax from your mobile phone.
Itahari Mayor Dwarika Lal Chaudhary has launched the taxpayer portal by paying the tax due. Deputy Mayor Laxmi Gautam, who underwent knee surgery at home with the launch of the taxpayer portal, started by paying her taxes from home.
Mayor Chaudhary said that the online tax payment service has been started under the concept of making Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City paperless.
Claiming that he was working as per the commitment made in the election manifesto, Chaudhary claimed that 75 per cent of the commitments made with the people have been implemented. He said that being able to pay taxes from home is also an important step of development and part of transparency.
Chief of the Revenue Administration Branch Nabin Bhattarai said that the bill can be printed from the mobile phone after assessing the amount of tax to be paid. After the citizen pays the tax, the bill will come in the email of the concerned person. The metropolis has stated that the information will be available on the mobile immediately.

First of all, you have to register as a taxpayer in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City. A mobile number and email address must be provided at the time of registration. The municipality then provides the taxpayer signal. The taxpayer portal will be opened after visiting the website of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City and clicking on the e-governance service there, said the Sub-Metropolitan City.
You have to register there using the sign provided by the municipality. Username and password are received after SMS and email verification. Taxes can be paid using the same username and password from any corner of the world using eSewa or Khalti, said Tax Officer Bhattarai. You can view your personal details/property details, business details, restoration details, tax payable and paid details.
