Filmmaker Chandan Rokka dies of COVID-19

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 19 – Filmmaker and actor Chandan Rokka has passed away. According to family sources, Rokka died at Shukraraj Tropical and Communicable Diseases Hospital, Teku on Thursday morning.

Rokka, 59, had a health problem a week ago after a negative report of a coronavirus. He died today while undergoing treatment in the ICU of the hospital due to a lack of improvement in his health.

Rokka had played in Pirati Aafai Hudo Rahecha and also played the lead role in some films including Prem Yuddha.

He made the movie ‘Prem Yuddha’ himself. Rokka, a permanent resident of Kathmandu, has two sons and a wife. He was buried at Triveni Ghat in Satungal today.
