Monsoon active: Rain for three more days

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 19 – According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, it will rain in most parts of the country for three more days due to the effect of monsoon winds.

Pratibha Manandhar, a meteorologist at the Department of Water and Meteorology, said that the monsoon is active for three more days and light to moderate rains are likely in most places as the low-pressure line is a little south of Nepal and there is a low-pressure system in the northwestern part of the Bay of Bengal.

According to her, it will take some days for the weather to clear and the sun to shine. At present, there is normal to full change in Gandaki and there is partial to normal change in other states. Light to moderate rain is falling in some places of Bagmati and Gandaki States.

In the afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many places across the country with light to moderate cloud cover and heavy rain with thunderstorms in one or two places in Lumbini and southwestern states.

According to the latest details of the Weather Forecast Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley will be 21.1 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be 28.2 degrees Celsius.

Similarly, the minimum temperature of Jumla will be 16.0 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature of Dipayal will be 33.0 degrees Celsius.
