Meeting between Deuba, Prachanda and Nepal

KATHMANDU: AUGUST 19 – A meeting has been held between Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairman of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal. The three influential leaders met at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday morning.

According to Prime Minister Deuba’s personal secretary Bhanu Deuba, the meeting is still going on. According to Bhanu, the three leaders discussed current national politics and other issues.

After the government brought the ordinance on political parties, Nepal on Wednesday (yesterday) submitted an application to the Election Commission for the registration of the CPN-UML (Socialist) party. According to sources, the three leaders have also discussed issues including the expansion of the Council of Ministers.
